Eggshells

Today

You take your cremamic heart out for the first time since it cracked

You wipe it with the same lint free cloth that dries the tears on your cheeks

You hope that in a world of marble floors and granite jaws it will find the embrace of water to sit in

But your heart wants to soar with the wings of an angel

Let it go

It might end up trapped in the cotton candy cushion of the clouds.
